A colleague came into my studio with a stack of Lili Pulitzer catalogs. If you don't know the brand, they are famous for the bright colors, sort of like Miami on steroids!

I said yes, and began cutting them up [mostly the covers, I like card stock best]. I created this piece, using a slightly different paper mosaic technique. I made abstracted organic shapes on a stark white background.

Then, I started sorting through all my doo-dads and embellishments, saved for many years... and the glueing began... Three dimensional elements like rhinestones, and cabochons in many colors and materials, including glass enhance the edges.

Dimensional paint along the edges of the leaves in various colors.

On thick canvas, it's wired and ready to hang.

Why the title? I threw everything at it, except the kitchen sink.
