"The Birth of Venus" by Sandro Botticelli is a favorite image. Sandhi has created a number of paper mosaic portraits based on this painting over the years. The largest work, which is 60" wide is in a permanent museum collection.
What is currently available, at Stravitz Fine Art is an "antiqued" version in more subtle hues, enhanced with additional paper and a golden glaze. It is on a deep canvas, the edges are painted and decorated with paper.
